Mackenzie Westmoreland
Bronte Mackenzie Westmoreland began her dance education at Banbury School of Dance in Houston, Texas, learning from Suzanne Banbury, Lori Barzilla, and Ashely Cook. In 2018, she joined Ballet Forte, a pre-professional dance company in Sugarland, Texas, and performed lead roles in full length ballet productions, including The Nutcracker and Coppelia. While dancing with Ballet Forte, Ms. Westmoreland also had the opportunity to attend and perform at Regional Dance America SW.
Over the years, she has had the honor of attending several Summer Training programs, receiving instruction from many dance legends, including Larissa Ponomarenko, Sally Rojas, and Gelsey Kirkland.
After attending Oklahoma City Ballet’s 2019 Summer Intensive program, Bronte Mackenzie moved to Oklahoma City to continue her training with their school, but instead was offered a trainee position with the company. Now, in her second season as a trainee with Oklahoma City Ballet, she is excited to join Central Oklahoma Dance Company for the rest of their 2020-21 season!
