THE ADULT BALLET COLLECTIVE

The Adult Ballet Collective is a group a of amateur adult ballet dancers and dance enthusiasts of varying levels of experience seeking to showcase their love of dance through performance opportunities in and around the Norman and Oklahoma City metro. The Collective has partnered with Askew Ballet Academy and its CEO and Director Penny Askew, an accomplished dance educator, adjudicator, and choreographer. The Collective seeks to spread the love and appreciation of dance to people of all ages and abilities with the goal of holistically improving the quality of life for both its participants and the community in which it is housed.

The Adult Ballet Collective strives to provide opportunities for creative expression to anyone regardless of age, physical ability, size, race, sex, or gender and seeks a diverse cross-section of dancers to promote the love of the art form and inspire others to start dancing. 

Everyone is welcome including dance beginners, retired professionals, dance teachers, and former recreational or pre-professional dancers 14 and up with a desire to perform works of ballet, modern and contemporary dance in and around the Oklahoma City metro.

The Collective rehearses at Askew Ballet Academy in Oklahoma City and performs twice a year in a studio recital performance.
