Sterlin Mosley, PhD, Founder
Creative Director
Sterlin Mosley, PhD received his Bachelors degree in English and went on to complete a Masters in Human Relations with an emphasis on personality psychology and mental health counseling, before finally graduating with a PhD in Communication from The University of Oklahoma in 2015. In addition to his work as a professor of Human Relations at the University of Oklahoma he provides life coaching and professional coaching and training in the areas of personality, productivity and human relations and conducts various workshops and lectures at OU on issues of diversity, inclusivity and social change. Dr. Mosley is well versed in the performing arts as he studied Music Performance for two years while playing the flute in college and participated, directed and produced numerous musical theatre performances including serving as the Executive Creative Director of University Sing, and a Director of the beloved Sooner Scandals, productions which he continues to judge. Dr. Mosley began his professional dance career as an adult and quickly discovered both an aptitude and passion for the art form and the business of dance production and progressed rapidly affording him opportunities to train and perform with The Oklahoma City Ballet and to take courses in advanced ballet technique from The University of Oklahoma. Dr. Mosley has studied with teachers like Finis Jhung founder of Finis Jhung Ballet Technique, Michael Bearden, Director of the OU School of Dance, Penny Askew School Director of the Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Choteau School and Oklahoma City Ballet Soloist Walker Martin, Ilya Kosadeyev former Houston Ballet soloist and professor of Ballet performance at UNCSA and Yulia Zhmutski owner of Julia’s Academy of Dance.
Aaron Addonizio, Founder
Executive Director
Aaron Addonizio, MHR, MPA received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from The University of Oklahoma and holds Masters Degrees in both Human Relations and Public Administration from the same institution. Ms. Addonizio is the co-founder, coach and Chief Operating Manager at Insightful Innovations a professional consulting and coaching firm in which she focuses on training individuals and organizations on personality theories and human potential management. Additionally Ms. Addonizio successfully founded, Insightful Organization, a specialized consulting service providing personal and professional organization solutions. In 2011 Aaron Addonizio began lending her exceptional organizational and management skills as an Administrative Support Specialist for Enneagram Explorations (based in Palo Alto, California) and Katherine Fauvre Consulting (based in Menlo Park, CA). Aaron’s love of performance and musical theatre experience began in college as she served on various executive committees and production teams for University of Oklahoma performances from 2002-2006. In 2015 she began work at Julia’s Academy of Dance in Norman, OK where she served as business operations manager and financial director managing daily business operations and bookkeeping for the popular Norman dance studio while maintaining her business consulting firm.
Penny Askew, M.A.
Rehearsal Director/Ballet Master
A native Oklahoman, Penny Askew began her serious ballet training with Candace Jones Smalley in Clinton. She also studied at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, Ballet West, National Academy of Arts, and The School of Pennsylvania Ballet, and was influenced by many notable teachers during her formative years, including Robert Joffrey, Richard Englund, Lupe Serrano, David Howard, Bruce Marks, and Toni Lander.
For over 25 years Penny was the Director of Western Oklahoma Ballet Academy and Western Oklahoma Ballet Theatre, serving as the primary artistic, administrative, and marketing force behind the organizations. She was awarded a Governor’s Arts Award in 2008 for her work in building a high-quality ballet program in rural Oklahoma, and was twice awarded the Regional Dance America/Southwest Stream Award for artistic excellence and service to RDA/SW. Most recently, Penny was the School Director of the Oklahoma City Ballet Yvonne Chouteau School, where she led the school faculty, taught multiple levels, and oversaw the professional training programs. She also directed the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive and the Oklahoma City Youth Ballet, in addition to serving as a Ballet Master for the professional company.
Penny was named Outstanding Choreographer of the Regional Dance America Choreography Conference in both 1996 and 1998, and her works have been commissioned by several companies. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance/Choreography from the University of Iowa. She is an American Ballet Theatre® Fellowship Teacher, certified in Primary through Level 7 and Partnering of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She has been on faculty at AileyCamp New York, the Glenda Brown Choreography Project, and RDA Festivals. She was also the RDA/Northeast adjudicator for the 2017 National Festival in Phoenix.
Penny’s students have attained professional careers in ballet, modern dance, and musical theater companies, have received scholarships to professional and university training programs, and have taught and choreographed professionally across the United States and in Europe.
Catie Tramel, Founder
Catie Tramel is a native of Colorado. She studied Vaganova technique under German Zamuel, Oleg Dedogryuk, and David Taylor. After high school, she chose to study in the OU School of Dance. At the time, it was ranked #1 in the United States for dance programs. She danced as a Company Apprentice with the Oklahoma Festival Ballet four seasons, graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education in 2014. While working on her undergraduate capstone, Catie worked extensively with OU students and professors to perfect good teaching practices. She has choreographed and performed original works and taught workshops over international dance forms, stage makeup, athlete nutrition, ballet, and modern dance. An energetic and amiable ballet instructor, she has a keen interest in developing the self-aware dancer. Catie coaches students to have gumption and pursue excellence within each student’s custom-designed anatomy in order to promote correct technique and prevent injury. Catie has performed throughout the Southwest in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Kansas, and internationally in Indonesia. She has taught for Zamuel Ballet School (Colorado Springs, CO) and Julia's Academy of Dance (Norman, OK) in ballet technique, modern and contemporary, stretch/conditioning, and pre-pointe.
