Emma Knowlson

Emma Knowlson was trained at Charlotte Ballet, under Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and Patricia McBride, and spent summers at the School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet before graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and joining Oklahoma City Ballet’s second company. She has competed at the Youth America Grand Prix final and won several awards including first place in Winston Salem. 

While training at UNCSA under Susan Jaffe, Knowlson performed works such as Frederick Ashton’s Symphonic Variations, George Balanchine’s Serenade and Concerto Barocco, Marius Petipa’s Paquita and Raymonda, Ethan Stiefel’s The Nutcracker, and Michel Fokine’s Les Sylphides.
