Amelia Aroneo
Amelia Aroneo was born and raised in Millington, New Jersey. At age three, she began dancing with Washington Rock Youth Ballet under the direction of Pam Levy. She trained in all styles of dance with a focus on ballet for ten years. At age thirteen, she began training at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet. By age fifteen, she was accepted into the full-day Professional Training Program, where she studied with Gelsey Kirkland, Liudmila Polonskaya, Alexandra Lawler, Nikolai Levitsky, and Vera Solovyeva. While at GKA, she performed roles in Gelsey Kirkland’s The Nutcracker, Paquita, La Vivandiere, Chopiniana (Les Sylphides), and Raymonda. Upon graduating from GKA, she danced as a trainee with American Repertory Ballet where she performed in Douglas Martin’s The Nutcracker as well as Don Quixote. Most recently, she joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a trainee, and is excited to be working with Central Oklahoma Dance Company this spring!
